We are pleased to share that Adam T. Magill, MBA, CBA, CVA, MAFF, is now a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator (Florida Mediator No. 44979F). With this certification, Adam now offers family mediation services through Collaborate Florida, our wholly owned affiliate dedicated to helping families resolve divorce and other family law matters outside the courtroom.

Mediation with a financial focus

Adam mediates family law matters, with a particular strength in cases where finances are the main obstacle to settlement. He mediates both for parties who have attorneys and for pro se parties who are representing themselves. Mediation can address:

  • Mediation with attorneys present

  • Pro se mediation for self-represented parties

  • Division of assets, debts, and retirement accounts

  • Alimony and child support issues

  • Business and real property issues

A neutral at the table

As a mediator, Adam's role is not to take a side. He facilitates agreement and does not give legal advice to either party. His job is to make sure everyone at the table understands the same numbers, so that decisions about support, property, and businesses rest on a shared, reliable foundation. When the parties reach an agreement, mediation can conclude with a written settlement agreement.

Decades of financial experience behind every session

Adam has worked in business valuation and financial analysis since 1998 and has been qualified as an expert witness in 20 Florida counties and in Alaska. He is also an FACP Accredited Collaborative Professional who serves as the neutral financial professional in collaborative divorce cases. That background helps parties work through complex financial questions, including closely held businesses, income for support, and the division of retirement accounts.

Please note: Adam is a certified family mediator. He does not serve as a mediator in civil cases; in civil matters, his role is financial consultant. Collaborate Florida does not provide legal advice and is not a law firm. Mediators remain impartial and do not represent either party, and parties are encouraged to consult an independent attorney about their legal rights.
